Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the game Fright Bites: Night Shift (the "Game", Android package com.levelmob.frightbites) and the LevelMob website handle, why, and who it is shared with. The Game is made by LevelMob ("we", "us"). It is a family game designed to be enjoyed by players of all ages, including children.
The short version
- There are no LevelMob accounts, and we don't ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts or photos.
- Your progress, chef name and outfit are saved on your own device, not sent to us. If you use Google Play Games, a copy of your progress is also kept in your own Google Play Games account so you can carry it to a new phone.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- Ads appear only if a player chooses to watch one, and they are child-directed, non-personalised ads from Google AdMob. The Game does not use the device's advertising ID.
- We don't sell personal information, and we don't run our own analytics or tracking in the Game.
1. Information stored on your device
The Game saves the following on your device only, so you can pick up where you left off:
- Your game progress: nights played, stars, achievements and game statistics.
- The chef name you type in (or the random default name) and your chef's outfit.
- Which wardrobe items you've unlocked, which nights you've purchased, how many optional reward ads you've watched today, and your control and graphics settings.
We do not receive this information. It stays on the device and is removed when you uninstall the Game or clear its storage.
Device backup. If backup is switched on in your device settings, Android may include the Game's save files (your progress, stars and unlocked outfits, only a few kilobytes) in your device's own Google backup, so they can be restored if you reinstall the Game or move to a new phone. This backup is stored in your own Google account, is end-to-end encrypted with your device's screen lock on Android 9 and later, and LevelMob cannot access it. You can turn device backup off in your Android settings.
Google Play Games cloud saves. If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device (the Game signs in automatically where your account allows, or you can tap "Sign in to Play Games" on the night map), the Game stores a small copy of your progress, stars, achievements and unlocked outfits in Google Play Games "Saved Games", so it can be restored after a reinstall or on another device signed in to the same account. Your chef name is part of that saved progress. This copy is held by Google in your own Google Play Games account under Google's Privacy Policy; LevelMob does not receive it and cannot access it. Signing in also lets Google Play Games show your Play Games profile in the Game, which LevelMob does not store. For children's accounts, the parental settings in Google Family Link apply. You can stop using Play Games at any time, and you can delete the Game's saved data from your Google Play Games account settings (Play Games app > Settings > Delete Play Games account and data, or by game).
2. Local co-op (two phones on the same Wi-Fi)
When two players connect over local Wi-Fi, the two devices exchange what's needed to play together, including each player's chef name, outfit and in-game actions. This travels only between the devices on your local network; it does not pass through our servers, and we do not receive it. The Game does not offer online play with strangers.
3. Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Nights 11-50 can be unlocked with one-time purchases. These are processed by Google Play under Google's privacy notice. The Game only receives confirmation of which items your Google account owns, so it can unlock them and restore them if you reinstall. We never receive your card or payment information.
4. Optional reward ads (Google AdMob)
On the results screen, a player can choose to watch a video ad to receive a bonus outfit item. Ads never play unless the player chooses to watch one. These ads are provided by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). Because the Game is directed at families, every ad request is marked as child-directed and limited to content rated for general audiences, which means:
- Ads are not personalised, and no interest-based or behavioural advertising is used.
- The Game does not access the device's advertising ID, and the related permissions are removed from the app.
To show an ad and prevent fraud, Google's SDK may process limited technical information such as the device's IP address, device type and operating system, app information, and ad interaction data (for example whether an ad was viewed). This is handled by Google as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you.
5. Children's privacy
The Game is designed for families and may be played by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Game has no LevelMob accounts, chat or social features, no online play with strangers, and only child-directed, non-personalised ads that play when a player chooses. Purchases require the Google account holder (for children, a parent's Google Play controls and approval settings apply). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Permissions
The Game uses network access for local co-op, ads and purchases, and Google Play's billing permission for purchases. It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files.
7. Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal information and do not share it with data brokers. The only third parties involved are Google (Google Play for downloads and purchases, Google Play Games for optional cloud saves, and Google AdMob for optional ads), as described above.
8. Data retention and deletion
Information saved by the Game stays on your device until you uninstall the Game or clear its storage in your device settings. Your purchases are tied to your Google account by Google Play and can be restored at any time. A Google Play Games cloud save stays in your Play Games account until you delete it there. Because we don't hold your game data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; if you have a question or request, contact us below.
9. The LevelMob website
Our website, levelmob.com, has no accounts, forms or tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics on it. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser's request (including your IP address) reaches Google as described in Google Fonts' privacy FAQ. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
10. Changes to this policy
If the Game's handling of data changes, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
